Traci and Jim

Traci and Jim were married in late March at the Acadian Ballroom in North Portland. We were lucky to have some good weather for that time of the year and were able to walk around outside for some photos of the radiant couple on Alberta. (natural light! yay!)
The bond between these two is indescribable! What a team! Justin and I felt privileged to be a part of their big day and to have had the opportunity to capture the emotions and the proceedings surrounding them through our lenses...

Best wishes to Traci and Jim for years and years to come!

Back from Jamaica!

We are back from our wedding celebration! For anyone who doesn't know already, Corey and I officially tied the knot in November. But, the real wedding ceremony and reception just took place in beautiful Negril, Jamaica, with our family. Other than breaking my toe on the way to Jamaica in the airport in Dallas, the trip was wonderful and the wedding was a blast! I am excited to post some photos from the trip, but I will be even more excited to post photos from our photographers (our new friends, Damian and Paula with Sun Gold Photography) when their photos are ready to view.

To top off the amazing wedding celebration, Paula and Damian took us to Palm Beach by the cay the next day for our "trash the dress session." I was dead set on trashing my dress until my wedding day...I love my dress!! I didn't want to take it off! I didn't want to ruin it, either. But, that photo session was the most fun I have had in years! Once I got the bottom of the dress wet and noticed that the fabric wasn't puckering, I set my worries free! Corey and I posed on a dead tree by the water...we swam in our attire...we rolled around in the sand...it was such a good time. I was able to spend more time in my dress, which was fabulous, and more time being romantic with my honey! (Look at all of my exclamation points!!!!!!!) Anyway, after the session we returned to the hotel and we ran past all of the hotel guests and jumped into the ocean to swim with our family...in my gown!! So much fun!

FYI, I hung my dress in the shower in our room and ran water on it for about fifteen minutes and then hung it to dry under the ceiling fan and my dress looks like new...no kidding. I am going to have it dry cleaned and will probably donate the dress to Brides Against Breast Cancer, although I will cry when I hand it over...I really love that dress.

Check back for our pics! In the meantime, I will post some photos from some of my March and April weddings here in Portland. As usual, I am blessed with great clients with great attitudes and warm hearts...I cannot wait to share some highlights with you from their celebrations...
